2018 SOG Multitools and Knives Glimpse

UPDATE 1-24-2018
These new knives and multitools have been released at the 2018 Shot Show. I was incorrect on some of this so I will update what is confirmed.

In this blog post by SOG, they revealed that there is a few new multitools and knives to get excited about for 2018.

New Multitools

PowerAccess Deluxe

The PowerAccess has been a good seller for us. A nice medium size multi tool with a pocket clip, compound leverage and their magnetic bit driver in the plier end of the multitool.

The PowerAccess Deluxe multitool is surprisingly bigger. We have found the replacement for the PowerGrab that suddenly disappeared. The PowerAccess Deluxe is a nice looking Multi-tool with tools that I have wanted but haven't seen in some of SOG's line ups and that is a saw. I am really excited to get my hands on the PowerAccess Deluxe. MSRP will be $94.

PowerLitre

The PowerLitre is genius. Most everything I wrote below is correct except the size. It looks to be a tad smaller than the PowerAccess but what sets it apart is the corkscrew. SOG went above and beyond and didn't just stick a corkscrew on their new offering. They made it a wine bottle uncorking machine. There is a tab that comes out on the other side of the PowerLitre that hits against the lip of the wine bottle. Using leverage from the multitool, you can easily uncork your favorite bottle of bubbly. Brilliant!

PowerPint

Everything is on par with this mighty PowerPint multi-tool. The only thing I see right off the bat is no saw. Hopefully SOG will sell optional tools like they do with so many other multitools.

New Knives

Flare

The Flare is a 3.5" blade with no mention of the type of blade steel. This knife has a attractive $40 price tag.

Ace

This fixed blade knife has an attractive price point at $34. Surprisingly it sports a 7CR17MOV blade instead of the ubiquitous AUS-8 that SOG uses for everything. It looks to have a nice rubber handle and plastic sheath.

KeyTron

This knife is a cool little 1.8" folding knife with a built in key ring and bottle opener. Sporting a 5CR15MOV blade and stainless steel body, it should be durable enough as a $27 key ring knife.

SOG-TAC

This little beauty is going to make a lot of California citizens happy. This automatic, yes AUTOMATIC knife has a 1.9" long AUS-8 blade. It will MSRP for $134.

Bite

A new bottle opener similar to the MacV that clips to a backpack strap. MSRP will be $14.
